Finnish shipbuilding gets a roll-on vessel scraper order

       Deltamarin Floating Construction, a newly established subsidiary of the Finnish shipbuilding and engineering company Deltamarin, has received a contract to supply Bore Ltd with an exhaust gas cleaning system (scrubber). It is reported that the system will be installed on the Ro-Ro ship M/V Bore Song to help the ship meet the operational requirements of the Sulfur Emission Control Area (SECA).
Deltamarin Floating Construction will also be responsible for all project management, integration engineering, classification and management approval, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, commissioning, system startup and more. The system was selected for use on a 12MW mainframe onboard, based on the DeltaLangh scrubber technology. The installation of the system will be carried out at a shipyard in Northern Europe at the end of this year, within 14 days, and commissioning will be completed in January 2015.
The contract is Deltamarin's fifth vessel to install the scrubber. The previous four ships of Langh Ship also ordered a similar system package. Deltamarin Floating Construction will work with sister company Singapore Delta-AVIC Sdn Bhd to complete the contract.
