Liaoyang Petrochemical Cracking Furnace Renovation to Save Energy and Reduce Consumption

Since the beginning of this year, the air preheater renovation project of 5 cracking furnaces of Liaoyang Petrochemical has made remarkable progress. After adding a burner air preheater, after nearly one and a half months of assessment and calculation, as of March 15, the energy consumption of the cracker was reduced by 14 kg of standard oil/ton of ethylene.
Air preheater project is the company's key energy-saving renovation project. In this project, the waste heat of the ethylene plant was used as the heating medium, and air preheaters were added to the bottoms of five cracking furnaces, such as F101X, F102X, F103X, F108, and F109, to increase the temperature of the air entering the furnace. This can greatly improve the combustion conditions, increase the combustion efficiency, and reduce the fuel consumption of the cracking furnace.
The project began construction in June of last year. On January 20 of this year, the project was successfully delivered to China and February 3 was successfully put into operation. It only lasted eight months from construction to operation, four months ahead of schedule.
