Italian car market continues to decline by another 24.4% in June

According to data released by the Italian Ministry of Transport, Italy’s new vehicle sales in June were only 128,388 vehicles, which was the lowest since 1979. In the same period last year, sales of new Italian cars were 169,870.

In the Italian market in June, the sales volume of Fiat, an indigenous car manufacturer, was 27,803 units, down 24.7% year-on-year. In the same period last year, sales were 36,925 units. Other car manufacturers in Italy in June this year showed a decline in sales.

It is worth mentioning that South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co. and its Kia Motors Corp. saw a year-on-year increase in the Italian auto market in June this year, and their market share also showed an upward trend.
