Ministry of Railways is planning to introduce liability insurance recently

The Ministry of Railways is currently planning to introduce mandatory railway carrier liability insurance, which means that afterwards, passengers will first receive compensation from the insurance company for any personal and property damage incurred while riding on the train or for the loss of the goods during rail transportation.

As early as in 2004, China introduced compulsory liability insurance for road carriers, which stipulated that passenger operators and dangerous goods transport operators should respectively provide liability insurance for passengers or dangerous goods insured carriers.
