·The automotive sensor market will become a new growth point

Due to the large increase in car sales in China in recent years, cars in major cities across the country have grown significantly each year and are expected to grow by 8% in 2010-2015. Although several subsidies supported by the government expired in 2011 and affected vehicle sales, the Chinese market will accelerate its growth again in 2012, according to IHS GlobalInsight's production forecast. As an important part of the car, automotive sensors will also become a new growth point as the automotive market expands.

China is currently promoting standards comparable to Euro 5 to reduce pollution and will start promoting it from Beijing at the end of 2012. China also implemented the China 4 standard equivalent to Euro 4 in July 2011. These are the standards for spark ignition engines. Diesel vehicles will be implemented in 2013. China is especially important for pressure sensor suppliers used for manifold pressure measurement. Diesel engines also require atmospheric pressure sensors and high-pressure monitors for common fuel rails, although China has not yet adopted such powertrains as in Europe. European car standards are emulated by China. Due to some regulations recently introduced by China, a large number of TPMS are required for security. More common sensors such as airbag accelerometers have become standard equipment in Chinese cars.
